He, The Hallowed: A Novel by Cody Wright

He, The Hallowed is a dystopian narrative set about 1,000 years into the future of mankind.  A cure for death has been found, and with it came technological marvels that should have unleashed the potential of humanity.  Mankind was meant to go to the stars, colonize far off worlds, and explore the cosmos as they ushered in a new era of humanity:  homo immortalis.  But with the end of death, something dark became unhindered, unimpeded, and unchained in Man:  selfishness.

Babylon City, the last bastion of civilization, city of immortals, is all that is left of humanity.  It is a black stain upon the world with the worst forms of degenerate humanity rot away in boredom and indifference.  But now there is a season of change in Babylon.  The Ministry, the ancient governors of Babylon, are losing their authority.  Some  Babylonians follow the ways of Abraham Mason, a man who chose to become moral and live in the countryside.  Others believe they are harbingers of god, and seek to prepare the way for his coming kingdom, while forcing people to become human against their will.  Still, others believe in a Babylon that is free to choose for themselves, and these patriots will pay any price to see it so.  In such a chaotic time, who can tell what will become of Babylon City?

Xander Graey finds himself unwillingly thrust into the hands of Abraham Mason, and must learn to adapt to a new way of life, or return to his old ways in the city.  Not everything is as it seems in Babylon or the countryside, and Xander must chose his own path when confronted with the truth...
